Exactly! I love the world building that fantasy authors do. I find it amazing that they construct completely new worlds, new societies, politics, governments, races, languages, disasters, histories, etc. than current human history. It's an unbridled talent and vastly superior to Dan Brown etc. The Malazan books, Dune, and Game of Thrones are in my top five. Kingkiller as well, although we don't have as much of a global perspective. With the Malazan books, you can't figure everything out through 10 books. I'm on Night of Knives and loving it.
