Erica C.S. Lewis came to be a Christian in his 20s I believe, it was actually J.R.R. Tolkein who spurred him on in his faith. (LOTR has biblical symbolism as well, though Tolkein insisted it was not an allegory.) Lewis has a way of explaining Christianity that is so clear. Mere Christianity is an incredible book (that's actually recorded radio talks) and he has many more!

Tessa I agree, Lewis was an amazing man who really understood faith in a complex way. This series was just one way he helped explain the bible's message.

Erin Bookworm: Lewis came to be a Christian in his 3o's. He was a die hard atheist before then. There is a wonderful documentary (I believe it's titled "Beyond the Wardrobe" or something similar, that talks about Lewis' life. It was not Tolkien who spurred him on, rather, it was Lewis who convinced Tolkien to convert.
