I disagree that being blind makes any difference. Reading Braille is still reading as opposed to listening to an audiobook.
Blind people have an extra sense that allows them to hear EXTRA words. Everybody knows that.
YES!! Audio counts..and Linda I too LOVE listening the audiobooks of The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency, specifically to hear the accent!! :)
