Jenifer, I wonder what you ordinarily read.
Jennifer, I love Murakami, but I thought this book was pedantic, boring, predictable, and just forgettable. I don't think you missed out; the first 1/3rd is the surprising stuff, the last 2/3rd is pretty much what you'd expect. I wager you could write a summary of the rest of the book based off the first third and be correct.
