I just bought Villette, I also posted this on recommendations and received a lot of Jane Eyre. :) Have you read Wuthering Heights?
Yes, and I didn't like it nearly as much as Jane Eyre or Villette. Heathcliff and Catherine are so selfish!
shirley can be read because i find it utterly different from jane eyre. charlotte bronte so very much wanted to write like a man, that shirley became a novel that is poles apart fom jane eyre.
