I'm actually reading "A Place of Greater Safety" now and enjoying thoroughly. I recommend it.

Because after Mary's death, England returned to such a vehement and abidingly anti-Catholic brand of Protestantism? Though QE I endeavored to take a middle road, her homeland security kept the executioners at Tyburn busy, too, particularly after Rome excommunicated her. I agree with you Charles. I wonder if a lot of Tuderites yearn for a nice bit of swashbuckle and bodice ripping....
