Dude he's sending to himself because he knows that his brain is going to try to forget it. like it forgot about what happened to him when he was little.
I'm not sure I'm getting your point. Do you mean he's kind of keeping a diary ? Or that he will later forgot he wrote the letters and then thinks someone else wrote them ?
maybe, to a certain degree it was the concept of him being a wallflower. if he didnt perceive that people noticed him, this could be someone that knows him in passing, someone that doesn't hate him, nor like him, but someone who can at least say that charlie isn't a bad guy. Or it could be Sam in one of his AP classes
