I finished the book yesterday. Ahh... the sheer pleasure ! It is challenging to keep all the 3 levels together in your head for the interplay. I guess that is the challenge Coetzee tries to throw in to the book. Lucinda - Do you think Coetzee was playing himself? How much of it is really autobiography and how much of it is fiction?
I am not sure because I am brand new to Coetzee. This is the first of his novel's that I've read. But I got that feeling as well.
