I was really mad about the way Katniss treated Peeta when they rescued him. But the more I thought about it, the more I understood. One thing Katniss could always count on was Peeta. He was always there for her and always loved her unconditionally. When she finally gets him back, he despises her and points out all of her flaws. I would be so shocked and disappointed and confused and not even know how to handle that sort of situation. It's not that she was purposely mean to him, she just didn't know what to do or how to approach him. But I do agree some more feelings of remorse should have been expressed! I'm glad she finally realized how he needed her and she was neglecting him, but it was like she thought "oh, I'm being mean, aren't I?" and that was it. I just have so many mixed feelings about the book! I loved it and hated it at the same time.
The whole time when I read Mockingjay I was thinking if Peeta was going to be okay and how Katniss will save him, so I guess I expected more from her. Especially since Peeta has always been looking out for her, even when he had become hostage. I really wish she developed their relationship better...I mean, it was almost all that was left at the end of the book. The ending was such a cop out, just description like "hey, this happened"...
