Won't be the first time people gave in to their baser urges despite their previous convictions. Besides, I think she won't marry Jem anyway, he's going to be Brother Zachariah to extend his life. Well, that's what I think, anyway.
Maybe Jem, on his deathbed, will be like "Will, I know about you and Tessa. Take care of her for me." or something like that.
@Jeni: I do think that one (or even both) of the guys becomes a brother. Because of one of the sneak peaks, we know someone is going to die. Maybe Jem had decided to become a brother, Tessa then dies, and since Tessa is now gone, Will wants to stay with Jem.
Who knows... There are so many possible things...
Tessa shows up at the end of one of the TMI books though so she doesn't die. Otherwise I agree that Jim will give Tessa to Will to care for.
I thought what Clary saw seemed like a ghost, and not a real, tangable person...?
Just a lady wearing white talking to Magnus. Some folks think she helped Magnus clear Clary's memory.
I love them both too. Victorian times say men look after women. I'm just using a phrase the very correct Jem may use and Tessa would understand as a common phrase. I don't think Tessa needs looking after not would she be offended by the affection behind the sentiment :)

she can't marry will after jem is dead. they both agreed on that in CP. then it would be like they gained some satisfaction out of his death and that would be wrong. they both love him too much to do that.

umm tessa is the one girl in ya lit i have complete faith in. she doesn't need anyone to "care" for her. and the implication that she needs to be would piss her off. :) jem wouldn't dare. :)sure it would be nice to have a guy but she doesn't need one. and she is honorable enough to stay away from will should jem die. it wouldn't be right and she knows it. i don't think she will end up with either of them. i think jem will die and will will become a brother or die too. not that i want that to happen. i love them both so dearly.
