Similar to Fifty Shades of Grey it wasn't revealed why he was the way he was until 2nd and 3rd book. We didn't know Christian liked to spank little brown haired girls until the second book.
This book was just as bad as FSoG. I would have a hard time determining which one was actually worse. Terrible, terrible books.
More on Gideon's pass will be shown in the 2nd book. I cant wait. i rereading the 1st so that i dont miss anything.
She HINTED on sexual abuse but did not come out and say it...like everyone else is saying, we're just going to have to wait and see...
Something terrible did happen to Gideon, and no you did not miss it in the first book. I read the next, "Reflected in You" and the author has still not divulged the reason for Gideon's Parasomnia. I think the final book tells all.
In the 2nd book the author gives away of what happened to Gideon when he was a child, but we couldn't understand why his mother wouldn't believe him. More will probably be disclosed in the 3rd book. We discover things little by little together with Eva!
I understand having a trilogy, and a story line that threads throughout multiple books. But, introducing a plot point, then abandoning it in the course of a book, is just unacceptable. The book doesn't stand alone. It is not a complete book. I won't buy the 2nd or 3rd, or however many more books the author tries to string together.
