WTF are you talking about? Acting is all about looks. If someone can't look the part, they can't act the part. And YOU should be ashamed of yourself, calling people scum for discussing a movie cast. You have anger issues and possibly mental as well. I advice you to seek professional help.
Are you fucking for real? "acting is all about look"..That is the most dumbest thing I ever read. But of course if you all about look and not about the inside, then I won't argue with you. When people dislike and put hatred on other people, don't i have the right to do and say the same? They the scum, I'm one and so are you. We all human are. But I'm saying that we can do better then this. Yes, looking is part of the act. But important is If the actor/actress can't act like one and they all about look, then the movie is epic fail. That is the reason why Cassandra Clare and her movie people did, they look to see if they can act well to be place in the movie position. They SAW the character in them, not their look. Do you understand? Haha, yes I do need help with my anger and so is the other people who accuse the movie cast that their not good enough either. No one is perfect so don't think you better then me or other. We all have ugly soul inside of us so don't confront other flaw before you fix yourself.

You make a good point about Alex in 6-7 years, which was the same point that Cassie made when talking about Alex not being Jace. She mentioned that all the fan art with him includes pictures from several years ago. If you look at him in his more recent work, he is much more "mature" or "rugged" than his earlier youthful looks. Fact is, he isn't that kid anymore, and really couldn't pull off being a teen for another 3 to 6 movies.

She has nothing to do with the making of the movie. She's not a producer; the producers are the only ones who can cancel a movie. They bought the movie rights from her, but that's about all her involvement.

Tumlr is a great way for the fans to ask her question and that she post them up for everyone to see. Look, the point is that she was there when Jamie was audition and if she can pick, she would pick him a thousand time over.
She's actually really on tumblr. She didn't have a say on who to cast and who should play who but she did say that Lily and Jamie are her Clary and Jace. If you're following news on tumblr, which I believe is a good source of casting and filming news, because most of the tmi news sources and even cassie herself updates the fandom, you'll be updated with how the filming is going. And in my opinion, Jamie will be a good Jace. He kinda looks the part now, just a little bit skinny but the sarcastic aura is ver visible from the way he carries himself which I think is more important than being muscular. I don't want to judge any of them before the movie comes out but I don't agree that you have to look the part in order to portray it. An example would be Michael Gambon in Harry Potter he certainly looked the part but he didn't play the part well as Dumbledore. Sometimes, looks can be overthrown by how an actor carries himself. Also if you're basing Jamie's physical appearance with how he looks in google images I suggest you give him a chance. Don't close your mind and and just try to give him a chance. There's a reason he was chosen. He did not just went inside the studio and the casting directors single handedly picked him out of all who auditioned. He worked for it so it's unfair if you don't give him a chance. Also, another thing that's important with this movie is the chemistry since that's one of the appeals of the book the character dynamics which is kinda awesome, if you ever saw Lily and Jamie together you'll definitely see chemistry. So yea just give them a chance. If after the movie you still don't like them then no one can do much about it yea? I'm just sayin don't close your mind when the film hasn't come out yet. :)) It might affect your perception of the film and ruin the whole experience for you. Just be open minded and give them a chance. :)

haha Thank you. :) Maybe people here are not that updated compared to those who are on tumblr that's why they still think Alex is the perfect Jace well for me physically speaking, the Young alex is more of my image of Jace but that won't stop me from giving Jamie a chance. I know he's a good actor so that weighs so much more than being physically attractive, haha! Also I've joined the Jamie as Jace bandwagon a long time ago. :D Many people who thought Alex is the perfect Jace have also joined the Jamie as Jace bandwagon after seeing set pictures and keeping up with the filming. But the final say would still be when the movie comes out. As of now, Jamie is my Jace, seeing the movie will either reinforce my stand or just I don't know. Disappoint me. Let's just hope Jamie doesn't disappoint haha. :)
