Interesting insight, but in all honesty, I'm not sure who Emily was, or what she wanted from life. I don't buy every single thing that Charlotte tells me, even though Charlotte knew her better than I ever would. I think there is much more to Emily than the "shy reclusive" label that has attatched to her. The thing I love about Wuthering Heights is the spontaniety feel of it; like she wasn't even trying to write a great novel. Jane Eyre and Tenant of Wildfell Hall feel like delibrate attempts at trying to pen great literature....Wuthering Heights is like something that lived inside Emily, and she decided to share it with everyone.
