Emily I agree to an extent...that probably is why they're splitting Mockingjay, for money. But when it comes to Harry Potter, I can't even imagine how horrendous that movie would have been if they tried to cut it down into even a three hour movie. They at least had the material for two movies, and it was actually the screen writer who proposed the idea, not Warner Brothers.

Ana That's the difference between the last Harry Potter book and Mockingjay - this one doesn't have enough going on to make two decent movies; it should be just one. But I guess it will be more profitable this way ...

F B i thought so too. when i heard that they were splitting Mockingjay into 2, my immediate thought was "What? the book does NOT have enough material to break it up into two! what are they going to split up anyway? It is going to make the movie twice as slow as the book." i am never watching Mockingjay..

Avani You forgot- length. The last HP film was split into two films, and each half was the same length as the previous HP movies.

Lisa Harry Potter at least made sense. The movie would have been awful if they but that 600-700 page book into a 3 hour timespan. There would have been so much left out. Mockingjay is slow and quite short there isn't even enough material for two movies.

Avani True. All in all, it's probably to be like their competitors and for some extra money. xD
