Monica didn't bother me in the least. I think she is a good character, I am just more attached to Sally and am more invested in her happiness then Monica. So I wanted Michael to go for Lisbeth.....
If there was a fourth book, i think lisbeth and michael would get back together and maybe Monica would go crazy jealous on them. That would be a fun story to read.
