chinami I second that. The ending was really confusing but the rest of the story is vivid and interesting. This is my most favorite book of 2011. I suggest you re-read.

Melanie Bayhurst I enjoyed it, though there were times I was confused. Mainly because it did jump around quite a bit. I also did feel like there were some characters that were just left "hanging". Like what happened with Bailey and Poppet, the contortionist or Isobel. Maybe she did that so there would be a sequel?

I think the author tried to leave the rest of the plot to our imagination :) maybe bailey and poppet got married, or maybe Isobel found someone else, or never married :( and I have a feeling that the contortionist and Alexander were guides for Bailey. So like the whole point of the hanging part was so we readers can try to look into things and infer using the foreshadowing. To me this is like something Edgar Allen poe would write, but less gory and with simpler words :P but it has the same twisted plot and cliffhanger-ness like he uses with his short stories :)
