Actually, as much as I hate to say it, It seems increasingly that SM's world is a mix of TVD and Sookie Stackhouse novels.

Just think about it, all 3 have love triangles. Sookie is a telepath and is relieved to be involved romantically with someone she can't 'hear'.

Edward is a telepath and is relieved to be involved romantically with someone he can't 'hear'. See something common there?

I had a lot more similarities worked out, but I have forgotten most of them.

It just seemed too co-incidental, that's all I'm saying.

I originally thought that about the sookie stackhouse series too, but I just don't see SM reading those books, so I don't think she copied them...
