yeah, i agree it's bit overkill, like dragging the story. though i liked the bits about alex and carlos where you can see their maturity. try her book Leaving Paradise and Return to Paradise, these are good too!
i love the first 2 but didnt like chain reaction as much. probabaly cuz the first 2 were way too gud
