Yeah, I didn't like Syl as much. I dind't like her full name either. I liked that "storm" was used as a curse word as it pertained to the world, but it still felt weird at times.
I disagree with Rob completely. Sanderson's world was inriguing and extremely well crafted. Considering he's only had one book to flesh it out, I'd say its as good as Jordan's world. Also, you said that WOT has deeper characters, which I completely disagree with. While WOT has a host of great characters, you would be hard presed to find anyone as good as Kaladin. The flashbacks, which you conplained about, are one of the best parts of the book and really add a lot to Kaladin's character. I conceed that the interludes were annoying, and that Syl was kind of rasping, though she does have a mysterious role yet to play. All in all, though I like WOT better, TWOK is quality wise close to The Eye of the World and peobably better than the next three, especially The Dragon Reborn.
