Thank God that I am not the only one, it was pretty overrated.
It took me FOREVER to even start to get to a place where I was interested, but I hung in. It was close to half way through the book before I found it the least bit interesting. And then once they solved the Vanger mystery it got boring again. I agree---not sure what all the hype was about. Will probably see the movie, but will also wait for it to hit the $1 Redbox!
watch the swedish version. The acting was so good you forgot about the subtitles. The American version sucked rocks. The acting was good but whoever screwed with the storyline effed it up.
Laarsen bored himself to death--love it. This was such an awful book, and I forced myself to read to the end because so many people *LOVED* it. Ugh. I will never understand how anyone could even like this book, let alone love it.
