Read Infidel ( a true story) Ali was mention in Larssons book. He stepped on alot of very dangerous toes~
I have heard that he never married Eva, his lifelong partner because of the various murder attempts that he suffered - dunno if that´s true, though-

wasn't murder attempts that i recall, it was due to blackmail and stuff because of his journalism career, because he touched on such hot topics, and being married in sweden requires your address to be in a public registry, which he didn't want
Actually I don't believe he was murdered but it certainly is a possibility in this day in age.
Why do people sit around & come up with such absurd conspiracy theories? Utterly ridiculous.
Read Infidel~ nonfiction. He mentions Ali's situation there in Sweden. These are not people you want to disturb. Truth be known I don't believe he was murdered. Although he did step on alot of very dangers toes.
