I was not impressed with it at all. It was recommended by a friend and it just didn't sit well with me.
Totally, I have read it twice now and both times it was an uphill struggle. I have, what I believe is the second one, but I have not worked up to reading it yet due to my reading experience with the first book.
I agree it was excruciating to read, I couldn't get through the first one..
I really enjoy his twist on the books where you end up rooting for who we thought were the "bad guys"
