Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet! And for those of you who don't know who that is, you should read Pride & Prejudice!
Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester for classics. Eve and Roarke from J.D. Robb's "In Death" series of books :0)
after 2nd Duchess passed, he married his commoner Lady Katherine, and with the Pope and approval of the King- Richard II - their 4 illegitimate children were legitimate as "the Beaufords".
Rosalind and Orlando from Shakespeare's As You Like It. I also adore Lizzy Bennet & Mr. Darcy, Emma & Knightly, Psyche and Cupid, Scarlett and Red Butler... and an adorable and hilarious pair: Raina Petkoff & Captain Bluntschli, her "chocolate cream soldier" (from Shaw's Arms and the Man). Also adorable, even if they don't end up together: Emily and Perry from Emily of New Moon.
