I totally agree but the you can’t usually go wrong with the OG book. Absolutely loved catching fire tho, and I know the movies aren8t the same but i rewatched them recently and I just remember how good the series is
The movies are actually really good. This is one of those instances where both the books and movies are equally good.
also with the movies, I like The mocking part 2, the best, and then Movie #2
