Yes, I have read it ends with us. Although contrary to the popular opinion, I saw the red flags in Ryle from the very beginning and therefore found the book very toxic from that point on. But the epilogue was like candy to a kid. And therefore I am really looking forward to this book. But then I heard this theory on TikTok that there’sa huge twist in this book and that she might end up with Ryle after all. That’s why I’m scared to death that this book will disappoint me. But then again, it was supposed to be a prequel? So, I was confused and scared is all

It is a sequel and I was the same way I almost didn't read It Ends with us because I was immediately not a fan of Ryle's from their very first meeting on the rooftop, based on what you have said there will likely be parts you enjoy about the sequel and things that you don't like (never any legal statements made about Ryle's actions/lack of tangible repercussions). There was quite a bit of repeating from the first book (many diary entries were a part of the story line but with no new content/information) I pre-ordered it and having read it I probably wouldn't pay full price for it, if you catch it on sale or at your local library it might be worth your while to read it just to see the full ending of the story
