Julia Olsen I completely agree with this, as the families never gave the children a chance all because of an unexplained feud. I wonder if they would still have fell in love if it hadn't been for the circumstances of forbidden love?

Katie Coyo But I think that even though the feud led to this situation, Friar Lauraece was the one who directly made them kill themselves through his plan and the miscommunication.

Paolo Geronilla I don't agree with this, because they CHOSE to kill themselves. Also, it can be argued that the families' feud was only a small or no influence in their decision to kill themselves, since a large factor of why they killed themselves is because they're in love so much, they couldn't bare to live without the other.

Zainab I could also say that the whole family was responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet, but I believe the main causes of their death were Lord Montague and Lord Capulet because they are the ones who started the fight. The story also hints that some of the family members do not even hate the other family. These factors help conclude to the fact that the fathers of the kids were to blame, not the entire families.

LaibaBajwa I agree to disagree, yes their families were quite limiting of them, but they decided it was ok to break rules and make friends with an so called "enemy".

Sanhita I agree with your statement, because there would have been no need for the two lovers to run away or fake their deaths if their families had just accepted their love.
