Not that I want her to end up with Maven, but there could be the possibilty (Probably not but still) that Maven is being cobtrolled by the queen and doesn't want to do the things he's doing
What i love about love stories, is that if the love is really there, two people can overcome anything. Mare actually said she loved Maven, and idk if she meant it or anything, but they did have something before everything was revealed about him. Reading in Red Queen, you can really see Maven's feelings toward Mare, like giving the option to spare her life before the execution, and the way he touched her in the cell and like the real Maven was revealed before he went back to the Maven under is mother's control. (i dont mean Elara was controling. I mean like Maven being back to the Maven who helped his mother do the plan) But maybe in the future, Mare and Maven realize their love for each other or something because one thing we know, love can overcome anything.
