I am trying my hardest not to scream at this right now. Why don't YOU try writing a book. Not as easy as it seems, trust me. If you hate him that much, forget his books. That way I'm not tempted to scream.

Alana H Well, there is a point being made here. The writing has become way too predictable for experienced book lovers to not have problems with what we've been given. It was almost insulting to see that all we got was 500 pages of sameness.

Sean Bai I'm years late to this and I agree. Magnus Chase is boring and isn't as good as Percy Jackson and the spinoff series, as well as the Red Pyramid series.

There's too much description and not enough action, and dialogue is boring in Magnus Chase.

Also, nobody is obligated to like a book or series, and it doesn't mean the opinion writer bears any ill will toward the author.

I am an author as well. Plenty of people think authors can't review or dislike books. If authors can't review books because they view things with too much of an editor's lens, and non-authors can't review books, then who can review books?
