Immortality is a burden that Tessa would never bring onto Will - you watch as people make the same mistakes, die etc. and it never gets easier. And both boys deserve Tessa. Besides, an eternity is a long time to spend alone. Tessa would never fall in love with anyone other than Will and Jem. Do you really want Tessa to spend the rest of her eternity alone, after Will died?
