I never thought this could also be a possibility. But I feel the only reason the guy says "I know" because they might be classmates.
But now that I think of it, it could be him.
but that guy is smug and dismissive... doesnt sound like someone who really could relate to or knew about charlies past

That's what I thought! Perhaps it was Stephen Chbosky's subtle hint to who Charlie was sending the letters to, but then again not knowing is nice too. :)

But Charlie was talking about how it was a girl though :(( I'm so confused xD
but he started to write letters before highschool started so ı think the friend was either us(the reader)or someone connected to his sister or brother bc he says ''you didn't try to sleep with that person at that party even tho you could have.'' And only party charlie has ever been to before highschool was his brother's or sister's party. But in that case the person who said to charlie about the friend might be her sister bc he mentions as she, so probably it was someone her sister knew and said to charlie.
