Don't forget subconscious! That one is extremely important!
I hadn't realized anyone could be so in tune with their SUBconscious. And the Oh My, and the Crap! One of the reviewers actually counted how many times she said this. I think it was seventy-something times. But Jasmine, your comment has forced me to tell you what also got annoying after a while. "Come for me, Ana!" Dude??? Seriously???? The good thing is the book is fiction.
"Come for me.".....................Okay?
And it actually works? She comes EVERY SINGLE TIME. Wow. Just...
Commander Spock and Aaliya, I am cracking up on your comments! Too funny. Aaliya, the subcharacter in my series shares your name, except it's spelled with a 'h' at the end. :-)
Oh hey! Thanks. Its amazing how we are united by the mutual loath-fest for this sick lady who bites her lower lip "unknowingly".
Oh yay! I would love to hear about her character!
Gosh, I'm sitting hear laughing at the unknowingly biting lower lip thing. In all honesty, while reading all three books, I laughed a lot. Not disapprovingly, but because I found it humorous. Yes, my character Aaliyah is the love interest of the main character. I find it interesting that my fans either LOVE her or HATE her passionately. And I mean passionately. Hearing their feedback always astounds me. In my mind, my character Aaliyah is strongly independant, mature, etc. In the first book she's only 19 and I think some readers miss that. The second book she's 23. In book 2 my fans lover her a little more, but her actions drive them batty. I had a fan to leave a message on my website yelling that if Aaliyah caused injury to the main character, he was going to kill her. I guess I should be happy that people are taking an interest to speak openly about my book, but because I know this characters, I actually feel hurt when I hear such things. I'm currently writing book 3 and every time I get to a scene she's in, I'm thinking, here we go. Fans are going to go crazy. But I can't help it. The story is as the characters tell it to me. Did I mention that she's the love interest and later wife of a skilled contract killer? Yeah. I write thriller-suspense. ALL my fans love the lead character. His name is Dardian Dreshaj.
Aah. That is totally fine! I would like to read your books though. Hook me up with the link, would ya?
And thanks again! Ehehe, she does bring out the best in me. :p
Sure thing! You must tell me what you think. I think I'm going to add a page to my website for fans to post who they liked most and who they hated. I like engaging with people who read my books and hearing their feedback. Some of the stuff they tell me makes me smile. On occasion, however, I hear something that makes my eyes bug out! I have an avid fan of the age of 70. What captured her heart was the romance between Aaliyah and Dardian. She actually requested that I write a particular scene between the two in this next book. I'm seriously giving it some thought. Here's the link to the first book in the series. http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Feud-Shel...
Aaliyah, fair warning! I write thriller/suspense, but I love throwing in a little erotica. For this book, I think the heat level is 4. My book Plain Dealing, which is a murder/mystery is definitely heat level 5 due to the BDSM content in it. Some are calling this book the real fifty shades, as many believe that E.L Woods version of BDSM was a little convoluted. I tend to agree.
