Allan Duncan MacDougall

Allan Duncan MacDougall (1798 - 1876) was a Scottish lawyer. He was the ninth son of Patrick MacDougall, later Chief of Clan MacDougall, and his wife Louisa Maxwell Campbell. In 1833 he became factor of the Baleveolan estate on Lismore.
From 1808, Allan MacDougall was educated at Perth Grammar School. By 1815, he had become apprenticed as a lawyer to John Young W.S. in Edinburgh. He became a Writer to His Majesty's Signet in 1824.
