Sir Duncan Campbell, 8th of Barcaldine and Glenure (1786 - 1842) was a Scottish landowner and soldier. He saw action at the battle of Talavera in Spain in 1809.
Sir Duncan Campbell's landholdings included the townships of Balingrundle, Achnacroish, Tirlaggan, Killean and Portcharron on the island of Lismore in Argyll. After his death, these holdings were transferred to James Auchinleck Cheyne.…more
