William Alexander, 1st Earl of Stirling

William Alexander, Earl of Stirling (c.1570 - 1640) was a Scotsman who was an early developer of Scottish colonisation of Nova Scotia and Long Island, New York. He was the son of Alexander Alexander of Menstrie and Marion, daughter of an Allan Couttie.
