Psyche ( Greek: Ψυχή, "Soul" or "Breath of Life") is a mortal woman in Greek mythology. She was the wife of Eros and the mother of Hedone. She is always pictured with butterfly wings. She figures prominently in the story of Cupid and Psyche, which concerns the overcoming of obstacles to their love and their ultimate union in marriage.…more
