Abraham Lincoln (Goodreads)

A real person. 1809-1865. President of the United States during the civil war. Introduced the Emancipation Proclamation in the fall of 1862 which freed the slaves on January 1, 1863. Assassinated in 1865. His wife was Mary Todd Lincoln, 1818-1882.
