‘Blinker’ Hall

‘Blinker’ Hall was a real person and was in fact the Director of the Intelligence Division (DID) of the Royal Admiralty in London, head of the codebreaking operation in Room 40. But this is a fictionalized version of the real man. The real Blinker Hall was, for example, not made full Admiral until 1926.
