It works really well for analysis of different media types, which is part of the CA standards. Anyway, I wouldn't exactly read this with my class, but I feel that 8th-10th grade is probably the right grade level. If your kids can identify with teen angst, Blue Exorcist is right up their alley.(less)

Yes, they all contain the same general characters, goals and story line, though they change as the story goes on. :) In my personal opinion all of the books are good, but this varies from person to person, and some people like to stop after some of the more major plot twists, so make your own decisions about this.
