If you read the Will Trent series first, you will see spoilers that you won't want to know for reading the Grant County series. All the books in both series are fantastic, so I'd recommend you start with Grant County's "Blindsighted", the 1st in that series. (less)

But like you I have not read the earlier books in the series so was a little frustrated re being unaware of the back stories of Will Trent and several of the other characters. Time over I would go back and start from book 1.. I saw another review which suggests it's even better to read the Grant County series first. I have read the prior Will Trent Books and Grant Co. Books. It seems to me, Faith's son has not aged and I am confused about that. By the time we get to Fallen shouldn't he be in his 20's?
