Which Parker book do you view is his best? I purchased SixKill on audio and I love being able to listen at bed time. Parker was as many thought a genus. I enjoyed the way Parker introduced (at first read) this flawed character and turn him into someone you begin to care about and rout for... I miss Robert B. Parker; I also missed Hawk in this book.

I highly recommend The Godwulf Manuscript (the first of the series), God Save the Child (which introduces Susan Silverman), Mortal Stakes, and Promised Land (which introduces Hawk - a very different Hawk from the later series). These are the first four of the books, and together they give the best picture of what Robert B. Parker could do and what the series is about.(less)
