I don't have a great stomach for graphic violence - turns into vivid scenes and gives me nightmares. I enjoyed a few of Doctorow's books recently, and am at the beginning of Billy Bathgate and am worried it is going to contain graphic violence. Any guidance? Thanks.

There are a few graphic moments but nothing extreme by the standards of gangster stories. (less)
