The reader was kinda left hanging. Why did we not get to read about Zoe holding her daughter for the first time? The miscarriages were such a huge part of her life. Or her joy and worries over Vanessa being pregnant? Where was the joy we wanted her to feel? I cried for Zoe more than once. I wanted to feel her joy as well. Darn!!!

At one point, Vanessa and Zoe have a small fight when Zoe reveals she had a miscarriage, and she mentions that she "used to be a guy." And that was it. What was that about? It wasn't elaborated in the novel.

I guess if she / he is struggeling with topics from that book it can be interesting, but if they're more into twilight like novels, its probably to 'heavy'(less)
