Are cringeworthy periphrases such as these found in the preface a trademark of this author? Are they an indication of what to expect from the chapters to come? It must have been someplace very bad in my buddies’ minds to provoke their chastisement of me for denigrating my begetters."

The meaninglessness of life isn't really the subject of the book. So why are the previous two questions about that? Do you suspect, like I, these people didn't actually read much of the book? BTW It's really about whether life is somehow better than death or non-existence. And that's whether it's happy or not happy, meaningful nor meaningless. Discuss!
