In this section Lynn Austin explains that it is believed that the ark of the covenant was removed from Yahwehs Temple during the reign of Mannasseh - the idea that it was stolen by Joshua links in nicely with this but it is one of the fictional points of the book. Therefore it does not have a biblical reference.(less)
