I want to read the Cotton Malone series, but really don't want to read another "Christianity is wrong" book....do I need to read the first one? Will I miss out on too much if I start with the second one?

There's no real in-depth religious beliefs pushed but more of a bibliographic discussion. I, personally started the series somewhere in the middle and never got to read this book until now when I found a copy to read. I always enjoy the descriptions given in each book of the various locations and buildings because you can visually imagine the scene in your mind as if you were there, yourself.(less)

Is there a map showing the locations of the action in this booK? I am fascinated by the middle ages, the Templars and would love to go see the cathedrals, castles, and abbeys depicted in this book.
