Hiya, does anyone knows how to clearly identify the year of publication of this book many editions? I bump in to a Mitchell Beazley hard back edition, that reads on the details 1979.... but, due to book conditions (exceptionally good condition) and knowing that there are many, many different editions, I'm a bit sceptical about this verdict.. it does look used, maybe 5 -10YO; but definitely don't smell like 40...

The production values and the paper used in that book were exceptionally good so if it was kept dry and safe the paper would not likely deteriorate. I have one first edition that still looks like new after 40 years. All the best David Day

Ami I found mine on thriftbooks.com for less than $6. Paperback, printed in 2001 and good condition.
