Hi! I just purchased this book from a thrift shop, and I'm not really aware that it comes in series. Will it be ok to start this without reading the other 3? Or will I get so confused? Thank you.

Don't care about spoilers but is Angie Polanski there in this book? I've felt that Angie was written unfairly from the 2nd book. Faith, a woman, calling another woman a slut(not the exact word but she means it many times). In the third I felt Angie is shown in a negative light to accommodate Sarah. Doesn't that character deserve something better? She suffered from like didn't she?

Are we supposed to like or dislike Lena Adams? I know the character has issues(?), but I've always had more time for her than Sara Linton, who appears in the Grant County books alongside her?

She's gorgeous, she's a doctor, she's a runner, and she completely subsumes herself in whoever her current man is. She sounds like a fantasy character--but wholly and completely annoying.(less)
