I am new to Jo Nesbo's books. Where should I begin? Should I read the first book in his series or should I read one of his stand alone's? Any help would be much appreciated!

If you get into the rest of the series, you will probably go back at some point, but The Redbreast is probably the best place to start in terms of quality of writing and importance to the remaining canon. So Tom Waaler uses this opportunity to say negative things about H…moreAs Harry Hole is in hiding and the only person he is in contact with is Beate Lonn. So Tom Waaler uses this opportunity to say negative things about Harry, how he is friends with the person (Raskol) who killed Beate's father and how by supporting Harry is Beate supporting his father's killer. So she should reveal Harry's location. But Beate has none of it and says "Even if I knew where Harry was you would be the last person I would tell it."

Waaler then gets agitated has forces himself upon her(less)

Not really a question but more of a venting frustration - I have loved reading the Harry Hole books chronologically and feel Nemesis is the best one yet. But will Harry EVER figure out the truth about Waaler??? He gets so close and then the book is over. It's really keeping me hooked and I want to read right through to the next one to see if he finally catches him.
