I wonder whether it was ever established if she and he had had a one-night stand because it does mention another one she had in the book. It seems his vendetta has more zeal to it than there would be without this factor. OMG, he has a plea for money on the web! And a site saying how he was such a swell upstanding, noble cop! Anybody else seen this?

My little sister did research on this as she went to school for Criminal Justice and it was her research project one year. From what she found out (I was actually reading the book at the same time as she was doing research), there was never any one night stands or physical relationship with him. He was angry at her for turning down his advances so he went after her son first and then when she kept complaining etc, he took matters into his own hands. I didnt know about his plea for money though. (less)
