Can it be read & enjoyed without reading any of the previous books in the saga?

Do NOT get the weatherman, it's basically the first 3rd of Vor Game (almost word for word). The Author's recommended order is at https://www.goodreads.com/series/9825...
You can read (or skip) the 'mountains of mourning' novella. It is a fun but short read, does it really matter in his story? eh, so far, not really. I'm just now finishing up the Vor Game myself (80% complete). I did read Falling Free, I read somewhere that the descendants of that book come into play in a later book, but so far, not yet! I'll find that out as I continue(less)
